Paradigm Shifting Approaches

Paradigm Shifting Approaches are Psyche Ethos’s signature approaches.

Psyche Ethos is defined not only by its Strategic Pathways but by its Paradigm-Shifting signature approaches.

These approaches shift perspectives, cut across disciplines, reveal hidden truths, enable transformation, and deliver systemic impact.

Our signature approaches include:

  1. Relational Storytelling
  2. Creative Problem Solving
  3. Name What Matters
  4. Connection Alchemy

They are distinct from the Strategic Pathways, focusing on the intellectual and practical “how” behind systemic transformation.

Relational Storytelling

Relational Storytelling™ is the Psyche Ethos approach for uncovering the hidden narratives that shape our world.

Stories are the invisible architectures of meaning – they guide decisions, culture, trust, and systemic outcomes.

Through Relational Storytelling™, we help organisations, communities, and leaders:

  • Surface unspoken or fragmented narratives.
  • Reframe distorted realities into coherent, inclusive truths.
  • Build systemic trust, cultural alignment, and clarity for decision-making.
  • Connect purpose and people to drive meaningful, sustainable change.

Applications & Benefits

  • Cultural transformation and trust-building.
  • Systemic analysis and early risk identification.
  • Narrative alignment for strategy, governance, or AI futures.
  • Creation of shared meaning in complex or fragmented environments.

Who This is For

  • Leaders seeking to uncover hidden drivers behind resistance, bias, or systemic failure.
  • Organisations requiring cultural coherence and alignment before transformation.
  • Institutions navigating trust, legitimacy, or multi-stakeholder complexity.

Creative Problem Solving

Creative Problem Solving™ is the Psyche Ethos approach for moving from insight to action, turning complexity and ambiguity into systemic, implementable solutions.

It integrates analytical rigour, intuitive insight, and human-centred design to:

  • Identify and address root causes, not symptoms.
  • Unlock innovative, ethical, and practical solutions to systemic challenges.
  • Convert cross-pathway insights into tangible outcomes and sustainable transformation.

Applications & Benefits

  • Strategy and decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Multi-stakeholder alignment and complex problem resolution.
  • Cross-functional or cross-cultural innovation programmes.
  • Translating systemic insights into real-world outcomes.

Who This is For

  • Organisations facing high-stakes or ambiguous challenges.
  • Leaders needing to design solutions that are systemic and sustainable.
  • Teams seeking to convert insight into measurable results with lasting impact.

Name What Matters

Name What Matters” is a foundational Psyche Ethos approach used before problem-solving begins. It surfaces and explicitly names the truths, tensions, priorities and questions that may remain obscured, avoided or unasked.

It creates space to examine what is being addressed, what is not, and what must be recognised to determine whether the apparent problem is the actual problem—and whether the question being asked is the right one.

The approach can be applied by anyone, in any situation where a decision, challenge or course of action requires greater clarity. It precedes Creative Problem Solving: “Name What Matters” establishes what needs to be addressed; Creative Problem Solving determines how it may be addressed.

It is integral to the Problem Clarification & Strategic Framing pathway, while its application extends beyond that pathway.

Connection Alchemy™

Connection Alchemy is used where relationships have hardened, trust has fractured or repeated attempts at dialogue have failed, and where those involved retain sufficient willingness to move toward repair.

It is the practice of transforming connections and relationships from fracture and division to forgiveness, repair, understanding, and ultimately trust. It is a journey, not a single event—the word alchemy is intentional, describing a process.

This process typically moves through:

unconscious reaction → awareness
hidden needs → explicit needs (deeper awareness)
awareness → regulation (clarity that enables steadier response)
blame → shared problem-solving (the system vs the issue, not you vs me)
implicit roles → chosen agreements (less drifting into default scripts; more intentional “how we do things”)
no-repair → repair (rupture happens less—and when it does, it’s possible to return reliably)

Paradigm Shifting Convening

Majlis-Confluence™

Majlis-Confluence is an emerging and evolving Psyche Ethos convening approach and an invitation to explore the future by shaping it intentionally, one frontier at a time. Drawing inspiration from the enduring tradition of One Thousand and One Nights, each gathering opens another chapter in a continuing journey of discovery. Together, we will explore emerging ideas, question inherited assumptions and apply Psyche Ethos’s Applied Intelligence—combining collective wisdom, human connection and diverse perspectives to generate new insight and more coherent pathways forward.

Whether your work lies in government, industry, academia, technology, culture, diplomacy or civil society, you are invited to join an evening of thoughtful dialogue with other visionary leaders committed to understanding, preparing for and shaping what comes next. The confluences offer expanded perspectives, generate new insights and build greater coherence—fostering increased capacity and insights among participants to shape agendas within their spheres of influence and spark needed societal transformation.

The Majlis—Confluence marks the beginning of an ongoing series dedicated to curiosity, connection, societal transformation and the enduring legacy we choose to leave.
